3 Things The Wealthy Affiliate Reviews Don’t Tell You

Before I made the decision to join Wealthy Affiliate, I read quite a few Wealthy Affiliate reviews. After I joined, I was extremely pleased with the program, but I felt that there were a few things that were left out of all the reviews of Wealthy Affiliate that I had found, and I wanted to share them with you.

What’s Missing From The Rest Of The Wealthy Affiliate Reviews

1. What You’ll Be Learning

Not a single one of the reviews on Wealthy Affiliate that I found explained what is taught at Wealthy Affiliate. I guess once you’ve been in internet marketing for a while, you forget that the rest of the world has no clue what you do, and if you talk to them like you would to another IMer, they’ll think you’re speaking Japanese.

Before you join Wealthy Affiliate, it’s probably a good idea for you to know what you’ll be learning to do once you’re there. In fact, I wrote a post explaining how Wealthy Affiliate works after reading a comment that one of my readers left in response to my Wealthy Affiliate testimonial.

2. Wealthy Affiliate Isn’t Perfect

Reality check, people. I know that just about all the Wealthy Affiliate University reviews that you read laud the system to high heaven, you have to go into it knowing that it’s created and run by human beings who aren’t perfect themselves.

Kyle and Carson are really great people and they know their stuff, but sometimes they *gasp* make spelling mistakes. Do you think I’m joking? I know that might seem like its not a big deal to you, but it is to some people. And if those people join Wealthy Affiliate expecting the lessons to sound like they’re written by a professor, then they just might end up devaluing the information.

Which would really be a big shame, because the information that’s there works. Kyle and Carson, like most wildly successful marketers, don’t really care about being perfect all of the time. They’d rather focus on making money.

Which, by the way, is something you should learn from. Trying to get all the details perfect really held me back from making money when I first got started. If you want to be successful at affiliate marketing, you’re better off just getting a lot of stuff out there than making sure everything you do is 100% perfect.

3. The Power Of Community

Most of the Wealthy Affiliate review sites out there will talk about the forum, and what a valuable asset it is, but I didn’t realize just how much there is to gain from the social side of Wealthy Affiliate.

I’m talking about from a marketing perspective. Friendships are great, and there are definitely a lot of those that come out of Wealthy Affiliate, but if you’re interested in paying $30 bucks a month to improve your social life, there are probably some other sites that will better suit your needs.

I cannot even begin to express how great it is to have a group of friends you can talk to on a marketing level. They say that 2 minds are better than 1– well how about 33,130 (the number of WA members at the time that I’m writing this post)?

The help, insights, and ideas that I have gotten from other Wealthy Affiliate members have greatly contributed to the extent of my success.

Wealthy Affiliate is often referred to as the biggest paid Internet Marketing forum. The people who say that are totally overlooking the rest of the tools, resources, and information that Wealthy Affiliate offers, but if that was all that I was getting from being a member, I would still be paying out every month because the benefits I get are more than worth that monthly investment.

Anyway, that’s about it. These are three things that are never mentioned whenever I see Wealthy Affiliate reviewed, so I thought that I out to write this up to fill in the gaps.

Bottom line is, I totally agree with most of the Wealthy Affiliates reviews out there– Wealthy Affiliate has been the key to my success, and if you want to share in that success too, it’s a place where you should make sure to be.

How Wealthy Affiliate Works

I recently got a comment on one of my posts that made me realize that I had been leaving something very basic out of my description of WA. And that is that I never actually explained just how Wealthy Affiliate works.

Angie left a comment on the post where I share my Wealthy Affiliate success story, in which she described her situation and said that while she was interested in the program, something was holding her back. I replied to her comment and addressed her concerns, but I also sent that reply to her by email, so this way she would get my answer even if she didn’t return to the site.

This is what she wrote back to me:

Thank you for your quick reply. Can you explain to me in short what Wealthy Affiliate did for you and how you used it to help your situation. I just don’t think I’m understanding the whole concept of how it works, and that’s truly what is keeping me from signing up.

You say you have other websites, do you promote them or sell products from them? Did you use the Site Rubix for anything?

I think I’m lost.

When I read that, I suddenly realized that I had never explained exactly what Wealthy Affiliate teaches you to do. In fact, I couldn’t recall a single Wealthy Affiliate review that I had come across that answered this question. This is what I wrote back to her:

Hi Angie,

Basically Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to make money using affiliate marketing. This is when you promote a product online, and get paid a commission whenever someone buys through your link. There are tons of companies online who have affiliate programs, and basically what I do is that I find a quality product that also pays out a good commission, and then build either a website, or a free webpage to promote it on.

I’ll write up a review of the product, or give information about how to use it, and then when people buy it after clicking through my site, I get paid. This is definitely the short version of affiliate marketing, and there are lots of variations and different ways to do it, but this is it at it’s most basic level

Let me give you an example: Say you want to promote a weight loss program. You’ll either create a website or make a free one, say on blogger, and you’ll write up a review about how it works and why it’s a good program. In that review, you’ll have a special link and when someone clicks on that link and makes a purchase, you get paid.

Wealthy Affiliate teaches a lot of different methods to do this with, but the one that I use the most is SEO/Article Marketing. If this is what you choose to do then you’ll be writing up articles and posting them online in various places where you’ll get people to read them and click through.

Some of the things that you’ll learn at Wealthy Affiliate will be about how to find a good product, how to write up a good review, and how to find keywords that will be profitable (I know I haven’t mentioned keywords yet, but basically those are the words that people type in when they are doing a Google search online, and that is how people will be finding your reviews).

The way that this helped me was that once you create a website or a free webpage and have a review on it, and it starts to get visitors through your articles, or the other traffic generation methods you’re using, you can keep making money from it for years to come.

For example, I have a website that I built about a year ago. I wrote articles and set it up and then I left it alone. Every month I make around $150-$400 from that one website alone, and I haven’t touched it or written an article for it in close to a year. And after you set up one of these “campaigns”, you can set up another and another and just keep going. That’s why Wealthy Affiliate is so great for me, because I keep getting paid for the work that I do, even after I’m not working on it anymore.

So yes, I do have a lot of websites, and I promote all kinds of products on them, from digital products to patio furniture. At this point I’m a pretty advanced internet marketer, and I’ve started using more complicated website software, so I don’t really use Site Rubix anymore. But I started off with Site Rubix, and it’s really great because it’s so simple and you can make the kinds of websites you need to get started in affiliate marketing very quickly and easily. Here are some examples of some websites that are built with Site Rubix:

Now I only explained one aspect of how Wealthy Affiliate works here– the SEO/Article Marketing bit, but just in case you’re wondering, Wealthy Affiliate also teaches PPC in depth, as well as other methods of traffic generation.

I chose to explain SEO/Article Marketing because that is my preferred method, and also because Angie had told me that she was going through some financial difficulties at the time, which was what had led her to find Wealthy Affiliate in the first place.

But I’ll also explain how PPC works here, so that if that’s something you’re interested in but don’t know much about, you can also get an answer.

PPC is short for pay-per-click advertising. You know when you do a Google search there are the main results on the left of the page, and there are also “Sponsored Links” on the right and sometimes at the top of the page? Well, that’s where your ads show up when you’re doing PPC.

Doing PPC right is definitely something that you need to learn. Instead of paying every time your ad is shown, you pay every time someone clicks on your ad, and if you don’t know what you’re doing you can rack up a huge bill in no time at all. Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to make a website to send this kind of traffic to, chose the right keywords to bid on, and how to write an ad that will get buyers to click and not just lookers.

Needing to know how Wealthy Affiliate works before signing up is pretty reasonable. And so it’s sort of funny that most people forget to mention it (including me, until now).

Hopefully this gave you a basic understanding of the kind of thongs you’ll be learning and the kind of work you’ll be doing at Wealthy Affiliate. It definitely helped Angie. This is what she wrote back to me:

Hi Angie,

I’m so glad I was able to clear things up for you. It’s funny, but I realized that you’re right, none of the Wealthy Affiliate reviews out there really explain what affiliate marketing is– they just assume you know what it is to begin with, which it really pretty silly. I’m going to pot up what I wrote to you on my site, because I’m sure that there are plenty of other people who have the same questions as you.

That’s a pretty funny typo on the relationship site. It’s not mine, but if it was I’d be pretty glad that you pointed that out to me. I wanted to show you what different people did with Site Rubix, so I just did a Google search for “site generated by siterubix” to give you some examples of other people’s sites.

In terms of writing, it definitely takes practice. One of the best things you can do for yourself when you get started is to write as much as possible. Set goals for yourself to try and get faster and better at it. If you see that it takes you an hour to write an article, aim for 45 minutes on the next one. If it takes you half an hour, try to get it down to 25 minutes. You’ll also learn in Wealthy Affiliate how to write better articles.

What can I say? When I started looking for a way to make money online and found WealthyAffiliate, there were an awful lot of reasons that I was looking for something.

The main reason was desperation. As I wrote in my WealthyAffiliate review, I was out of a job, had a growing family, and was about to fall into the kind of debt that I knew I would never be able to dig myself out of.

WealthyAffiliate University was the answer to my problems. I was able to not just learn how to be a successful affiliate marketer, but I also had an incredible community behind me, rooting me on and helping me to keep earning more.

But there was so much more that made me grateful for the day that I decided to purchase WealthyAffiliate. Some of that has to to with the program, but a lot of it has to do with me.

You see, I’m the kind of person who hates working for other people. I mean, I honestly loathe it. Maybe you’d call me a bit of a control freak, but I like to do things my way, and I don’t want to have to answer to anyone else.

4. The Learning Center

This is where the core tutorials, lessons, and videos at Wealthy Affiliate are located. You have an entire Internet Marketing education here, complete with sections for beginners, intermediate, and advanced members.

All the information is presented in an easy to digest, and thorough manner. In fact, I often find it useful to re-read them down the road. I always find that I get more out of them the second or third time around.

5. The Share Zone

This is another truly awesome resource that the Wealthy Affiliate University offers. Here, members can create their own tutorials, upload pdfs, and share videos that they’ve created with the rest of the members.

One really cool thing is that a lot of the members at WA are major internet marketers who often have products or membership sites of their own, and the ShareZone tutorials that they create are incredible.

Two of my favorite Share Zone tutorials are “The Oprah Method” and “One Simple Trick To 50% Opt-In Rates”. Those are both top-rated by a lot of other people as well, and will really help you get a lot more traffic and make the most out of it.

6. Site Rubix and Free Hosting

Building a website is a step that every marketer needs to take at some point in time. Sure, you can get started without it, but any serious internet marketer knows that having your own website is a must for major income.

But the idea of building a website can be pretty intimidating for a lot of people, myself included (when I got started, at least). Site Rubix is a very powerful website creator that’s also really easy. It’s all drag and drop, and comes with a variety of templates that you can play around with, so you can literally have your website designed in less than 10 minutes.

You also get free hosting with Wealthy Affiliate, which is great, because if you’re going to have a website, you need it, and a good hosting plan costs around 10 bucks a month.

7. Rapid Writer

This is a marketer’s dream. I don’t care if you do article marketing, SEO, or PPC, or whatever, but no matter what you do, you have to write.

Rapid Writer is a tool that organizes all of your articles and campaigns, helps you do keywords research, check competition on both the major search engines and the major article directories, keeps track of your keyword density, and has a built-in article spinner that’s optimized to churn out original articles that actually read like a person wrote them.

Talk about a dream tool! RapidWriter is something that I use just about everyday, and at this point, I could not imagine working without it.

Will Wealthy Affiliate Scam YOU?

Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam?

Well, you’re not the first person to ask that question. Just about anyone who is about to join any program that promises to teach them how to make money online spends a few minutes (or more!) wondering if they’re about to find themselves taken in a big way.

In fact, considering how many of those products really are just the same rehashed information that doesn’t work, it’s perfectly understandable that you would be worried about a Wealthy Affiliate Scam.

My experience with the program has been positive from the start. I knew as soon as I first logged into Wealthy Affiliate that I had found a program that I could learn from, work with, and be successful at. And if you look in the forums at WA, you’ll find that the vast, vast majority of the people there will tell you the same thing.

But whether it works for other people or not isn’t really so important. The main question is…

Will Wealthy Affiliate Scam YOU?

Are you wondering what I mean by that? I mean, I basically just told you that it’s a good program, it works, and it’s made me a heck of a lot of money.

Here’s the bottom line. Wealthy Affiliate is a great program. But you still have some people who will post in the forum saying that they’re sick and tired of the Wealthy Affiliate University scam and that they’re leaving.

But there’s a reason that they think that Kyle and Carson, the Wealthy Affiliates scam people.

You see, there are two kinds of people in this world: the action takers and the ones who dream of results. You know, the action takers are the ones who go out and work like mad– and they’re the ones who make it.

The dreamers think in the future. They decide that they’re going to make a ton of money online, and maybe they’ll even join Wealthy Affiliate. Then they’ll sit down and read some of the tutorials. They’ll plan out a great campaign. And they’ll put up a page or two, or set up an Adwords campaign. And then they’ll check their stats, or start reading some ebook or some blog to find some way to make more money faster.

And you know what happens? Nothing. These people waste hours and days and even years, doing everything but actually working. The only people who Wealthy Affiliate scams are the dreamers, the ones who simply won’t do the work that it takes to make money.

And the truth is, that it isn’t Wealthy Affiliate who’s scamming them– they’re the ones who are scamming themselves.

Making money online definitely takes work. But the rewards are much greater than any other business venture can offer you. Massive residual income is more than worth all the work. Think about it- wouldn’t it be worth it to spend hours working, if you’re going to keep making money from your current efforts for years to come?

This is one of the reasons why I chose Wealthy Affiliate as the way I was going to support my family. I don’t want to have to work every day– and I don’t.

I’m not telling you that I don’t work. Oh no, I work plenty. More than a lot of other people that I know. But one, I love what I do. And the best part is that if I want to go on vacation, I don’t have to worry about losing income.

I keep getting paid even when I take off time, because the work that I did in the past keeps making me money. And I’m going to get paid for the work that I’m doing now for years to come.

So no, Wealthy Affiliate is not a scam. The Wealthy Affiliate scam idea is something that is totally dependent on you and your mindset.

If you’re willing to take what Wealthy Affiliate has to teach you and put it to action, you are going to see results. And if you keep at it, those results are going to add up to more than you ever imagined possible.

Before You Buy Wealthy Affiliate, Ask Yourself This Question…

As I’m sure you can tell by now, if you’ve looked through this site, Wealthy Affiliate changed my life completely. I went from not knowing that internet marketing existed and being in one of the worst financial situations imaginable, to having my own successful business online while totally being there for my family. So you might think that I would recommend that everyone buy Wealthy Affiliate and turn their lives around.

But the truth is that its not so simple. In fact, I would only recommend that you buy Wealthy Affiliate if you first ask yourself this question, and really think about it before you answer.

And that question is: Am I going to take action on what I learn?

In other words, are you really willing to do what it takes to be successful, or are you just looking for a magical solution to make all your problems fade away?

I hope that doesn’t sound too harsh, but it’s really important to think about.

In every group of people, Wealthy Affiliate included, there are people who are action takers and people who aren’t. And the actions takers are the ones who succeed. It’s as simple as that.

Being successful online takes a lot of work. Lot’s of people focus on learning– and learning definitely is important– but I’d rather have you learn a little, take action, and then learn from your mistakes than just learn and learn until you think you’re ready to do it right. Because taking action on what you learn is what’s going to make you money. Learning without taking action is never going to get you there.

Lots of people buy Wealthy Affiliate and then start to dive into the wealth of information that’s offered there. And that’s a great start. But before you buy Wealthy Affiliate, I want you to promise yourself that you’re going to take action and not just learn.

The 8 Week Action Plan is a great way to make sure that you stay on track. If you follow it, you’ll be creating your own internet marketing business, and not just learning how to do it. And that’s how you’re going to start making money, and being successful at it to boot.

So would I tell you to go ahead and buy Wealthy Affiliate? You know the answer better than I do.

I certainly hope that the answer is yes. I know what Wealthy Affiliate did for me, and if you’re ready to get cracking and get your hands dirty, there’ll be no stopping you.

Rachel’s Wealthy Affiliate Review- Why Wealthy Affiliate Works

OK, one question I get from a lot of people is “Why does Wealthy Affiliate work? How is it different from all those other ‘make money online’ programs out there?” So in answer to this question, I decided to throw up a quick Wealthy Affiliate review of why this program works when so many others don’t.

The first thing is that Wealthy Affiliate is a program that gives you a step-by-step plan. This is very important because if all you have is a bunch of information– and there is a boat load of information online– it’s easy to get lost because you won’t know exactly what to do each step of the way.

There are a lot of great ideas for making money, but if you’re going to be able to take one and succeed with it you need to know exactly what you’re doing from start to finish. Wealthy Affiliate gives you exactly that so you can know from the start where you’re going, and what you need to do to reach your goals.

The second reason that Wealthy Affiliate works is that there are options. Not everything works for everyone, and there is more than one “right” way to do something. When you’re in Wealthy Affiliate, review the methods presented in the Learning Center. To say that I was desperate when I joined Wealthy Affiliate is an understatement. Out of a job, seven months pregnant, with a one-year-old and a husband who was making only $500 a month, I had no idea how we were going to manage.
